Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Rattled LLC (“Rattled,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use Find Third (the “App”) and related services.

1. Information we collect

Account and profile information

When you create or use an account, we may collect:

• Email address.
• Display name.
• An optional bio.
• Optional location text you choose to add to your profile.
• An optional profile photo you explicitly choose to upload.

Device location

If you grant permission, Find Third requests your device’s precise location while you are using the App in the foreground. We do not request or use background location tracking.

We use foreground location to center the live map, show nearby activity and places, and calculate real-world distances. If you deny precise location or provide only approximate location, Find Third can still work, but distances and nearby results may be less precise.

Plans, RSVPs, and sharing choices

We collect plans you create, your responses to plans (including “Pull up” and “Maybe”), and the audience or visibility settings you choose for those plans.

Friend connections

We collect friend requests and accepted friendships. Friend connections may be created through a shareable Find Third code.

In-app chat

We collect messages you send in Find Third chat. Chat messages are scoped to the specific plan where they are sent.

Push notification information

If you enable notifications, we collect a device push token so we can route notifications to your device.

Safety reports and blocks

We collect reports and blocks you submit involving another user, along with the information necessary to apply the block or review the report.

2. Information we do not collect

Find Third does not:

• Collect payment or credit card information.
• Access your device contacts.
• Access your photo library except when you explicitly choose a photo to upload.
• Sell personal information.
• Use your information for third-party advertising.
• Track your location in the background.

3. How we use information

We use the information described above to:

• Create and maintain your account and profile.
• Show the live map, nearby plans, places, and useful distance information.
• Let you create plans, choose who can see them, RSVP, chat, and get directions.
• Maintain friend connections and sharing permissions.
• Track your visits and relationship with places you return to, including features such as visit streaks and “becoming a regular.”
• Send push notifications you have allowed.
• Apply blocks, receive reports, investigate safety issues, and protect users.
• Operate, debug, secure, and improve Find Third.
• Comply with applicable law and enforce our terms or policies.

4. How information is shared

Other Find Third users

Information is shared with other users according to the choices you make in the App. For example, a plan is shown only to the audience permitted by its visibility setting, and plan participants may be able to see relevant RSVPs and plan chat.

Supabase

We use Supabase as a backend infrastructure provider for services such as database storage, authentication, and related app infrastructure. Information necessary to operate Find Third may be processed or stored through Supabase on our behalf.

Expo push notification relay

We use Expo’s push notification service to relay push notifications to your device. For that purpose, Expo receives the device push token and technical notification data needed to deliver the notification. We do not provide Expo with your full Find Third account or profile record as part of the push relay.

Legal and safety reasons

We may disclose information if we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law, legal process, or a valid government request, or when necessary to protect the rights, safety, and security of Find Third, our users, or others.

We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for third-party behavioral advertising.

5. Your controls and choices

• Location: You can change location permission, including precise-location access, in your device settings.
• Notifications: You can change notification permission in your device settings.
• Profile: You can edit your profile information in the App.
• Plan visibility: When creating a plan, you can choose who is allowed to see it using the sharing controls available in the App.
• Blocking and reporting: You can block or report another user directly in the App.

6. Account and data deletion

You can permanently delete your Find Third account from inside the App by going to Profile → Delete account.

Account deletion is immediate and irreversible. When you confirm deletion, we delete your account and associated Find Third data from our active systems, except information we may be required to retain by law or limited records that are necessary for security, fraud prevention, or enforcement purposes.

7. Data retention

We retain information while your account is active and as needed to provide Find Third. If you delete your account, associated data is deleted as described above. We may retain limited information when required by law or when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or enforcement.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children’s privacy

Find Third is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to Find Third, contact us at hello@findthird.com.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Find Third changes. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date on this page. If a change is material, we may provide additional notice in the App or through another appropriate channel.
